Preservation of botanical garden collection

Description of the project

The charity project is aimed at preserving rare plants of the Botanical Garden of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, which is the oldest botanical institution of Ukraine and has significant collections of living plants, including in the greenhouse complex.
In the spring of 2022, the greenhouse was partially damaged by russian shells. Botanic garden and university workers closed the greenhouse with polyethylene to maintain heat for the winter, which minimized damage. During emergency and fan power outages in the city power supply network, the pumps work only with the help of diesel generators.

The project is aimed at:● repair damaged greenhouses, heat and energy supply, and irrigation system;● purchase diesel fuel for generators;● reconstruct the structures and racks, etc.
With joint efforts, we will be able to ensure uninterrupted operation of the boiler room of the botanical garden, especially during power outages in the city's electrical network.

In case of non-implementation of the project, the funds will be accumulated and spent on the needs of the university, according to their appeals. All funds are charitable contributions: non-refundable.
